Terms of Use

By installing or using MeshTrail (the "App") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

License

You're granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use MeshTrail on iOS devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms of Use and these terms.

Safety Notice

MeshTrail is a tool, not a substitute for skill, training, or judgment. Backcountry travel involves inherent risk. Maps, GPS readings, weather data, hunting/fishing regulations, edibility ratings, first-aid protocols, and avalanche data shown in the App may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on the App as your sole source of information for any safety-critical decision. Always carry a paper map and compass, file a trip plan, check current conditions through official sources, and use your own judgment. The developer is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or death arising from use of the App.

LoRa Mesh & Communications

MeshTrail communicates with third-party LoRa radio hardware over Bluetooth. We do not warrant that messages will be delivered, that connections will remain stable, or that the radios you connect will operate correctly. Do not rely on mesh communications as a sole means of emergency contact. Carry a satellite messenger, PLB, or other certified emergency device for life-safety situations.

Field Guides & Edibility

The wildlife, plant, and mushroom guides are educational reference. Plant and mushroom identification is risky — many edible species have toxic look-alikes. Never consume any wild plant, fungus, or animal based solely on information from the App. Confirm identification with multiple authoritative sources and, where appropriate, an expert.

Hunting, Fishing & Regulations

Regulatory information (GMU references, season dates, bag limits, fishing techniques, public-lands boundaries) is provided as a convenience and may be incomplete or outdated. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, local, and tribal laws governing hunting, fishing, and land use.

In-App Purchases

The App offers a single optional non-consumable in-app purchase, "Remove Ads." Purchases are processed by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms of Use. Refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. The developer's total liability for direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid for the App and any in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Third-Party Data Sources

MeshTrail displays data from third-party services including OpenStreetMap, USGS NWIS, Macrostrat, and others. Each is governed by its own terms and accuracy guarantees. The developer is not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party data.

Termination

You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. We may modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice. These terms survive termination to the extent necessary to enforce their meaning.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
